Spring 2026 Program Information

• Players will develop the soccer techniques of dribbling, passing, ball control, and shooting through structured exercises along with fun, small-sided games in a positive, engaging environment.
• Open to players Pre-K through 2nd Grade (birthdays 8/1/2017 - 2/28/2024).
• Pre-K - 2nd Grade Program runs every weekend starting March 21-22, 2026 through the weekend of June 6-7, 2026 EXCEPT April 4-5 (Easter Weekend) and May 23-24 (Memorial Day Weekend).
• Parent & Player Program runs every Saturday starting April 11, 2026 through Saturday, June 6, 2026 EXCEPT May 23-24 (Memorial Day Weekend).
• Parent & Player days and times:

            -- Parent & Player session 1: Saturdays 9:45-10:20am 

            -- Parent & Player session 2: Saturdays 10:30-11:05am 

            -- Parent & Player session 3: Saturdays 11:15-11:50am

• Pre-K day and times:

            -- Pre-K session 1: Saturdays, 9:30-10:30am 

            -- Pre-K session 2: Saturdays, 10:30-11:30am 

• Kindergarten day and time:

            -- Kindergarten: Saturdays 11:30am-12:30pm

• 1st and 2nd Grade days and times:

            -- 1st & 2nd grade boys: Sundays 12noon-1:30pm

            -- 1st & 2nd grade girls: Sundays 1:30-3pm

• Cost (early and regular registration):

            -- Parent & Player Early Registration (through January 25, 2026): $140/player

            -- Parent & Player Regular Registration (starting January 26, 2026): $190/player

            -- Pre-K - 2nd grade Early Registration (through January 25, 2026): $225/player

            -- Pre-K - 2nd grade Regular Registration (starting January 26, 2026): $275/player

For 1st and 2nd Graders looking to expand on the technical and tactical areas of the game, GRU offers our Spring Pre-Travel Academy:

• Open to 1st & 2nd grade boys
• Players will expand on the skills and strategy areas of the game experienced in the Fall and Spring Programs
• One additional midweek practice session
• Practices are weekly TBD - either Tuesday or Thursday
• Location: Lower Faber grass or artificial turf field            
• Registration in the Spring Program is required
• Cost is $95 per player, and is in addition to the cost of the Spring Program. 
• Possible participation in one or two weekend soccer "festivals" (mini-competitions) during the season (see below)
• All sessions are run by professional trainers from United Soccer Academy
• No Tryouts

What are Soccer Festivals?

Soccer festivals are small mini-tournaments. They provide multiple, small sided games per event for each team. Benefits include playing in an unpressured format, lots of touches on the ball, with a focus on player development versus winning. Depending on skill level, GRSC Competition Development teams will either travel to participate in a festival or host other Northern NJ teams in their equivalent age group depending on availability.
